How long does a refund or exchange take to process?
Once we receive a return back from you we will process your refund and you will receive your money back on your original form of payment (credit card, PayPal account, etc.) within 3-5 business days.
Typical turnaround time for exchanges is about 7-10 business days once the item(s) are received.
Can I return an item I bought on sale?
Please be aware that final sale items are not eligible for return or exchange. All final sale items will be clearly marked as such. This does not include items purchased with a promotional code.
I received a damaged or defective item, what should I do?
Our sincere apologies! We rarely hear about issues like this and we’re happy to get a replacement item out to you.
First, we need to get the item back to pass to our product team. Please email us at email@example.com with a description of the defect and a photo (if possible). We will send you a prepaid shipping label so that we can get the defective item back and send you the correct item ASAP.
I received the wrong item (size,color,style), what should I do?
Our apologies for our accidently sending you the wrong item! Our small warehouse team prides themselves on accurate order fulfillment, but they are human (no robots) and every once in a while a mistake is made.
Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the size, color and style of the item you ordered along with the incorrect size, color and style of the item you accidentally received. We will send you a prepaid shipping label so that we can get the incorrect item back and send you the correct item ASAP.
Fit and Sizing
What if my size or color preference is out of stock on the website?
Hold tight! We apologize if your size or color is out of stock. While we do our best to keep inventory stocked we are a small company and sometimes items are more popular than we plan for. We suggest checking back in a couple weeks. If we haven’t restocked the item you’re looking for it may mean that this is a seasonal style that we will be replacing with a new and improved version.
What you see is what you get – we pride ourselves on keeping our inventory accurate and what you see on the website reflects just what we have in stock. If you’re looking for a specific item by a specific date, please feel free to send us an email or give us a call and we will be able to give you an approximate restock date.
What size should I order?

* Note for lightweight items: Due to the nature of the Lightweight Bamboo material and its quick dry benefits, this garment will shrink upon multiple washes (even when hang drying, which is recommended). We recommend selecting one size larger than you'd typically wear if you’re ever between sizes.
Do you offer big and tall sizes?
Our men’s sizes go up to a 3XL but we do not offer specific tall sizes. That being said, our cuts are long and lean and we recommend giving the standard sizes a try. We’re always happy to accept returns if they don’t work for you.
I'm a female and my boyfriend won't let me steal his shirt! So, I'm going to purchase my own. What size should I select?
We recommend purchasing one size below your standard size in Women's clothing. So if you're typically a Medium in Women's fit, you'd wear a Small in our Men's line.

Do you ship internationally?
The shipping options on our website are for U.S. and Canada* purchases. If you want to have your purchase shipped to a country outside of the U.S. or Canada, please give us a call or email and we will do our best to accommodate you. We hope to have international shipping available on our website soon!
*Additional shipping charges for Canada will be reflected at Checkout. Free Shipping for orders over $150 is for U.S. orders only.

Can I track my order?
You will receive an email confirmation with a tracking number once your order has shipped from our warehouse. We pride ourselves on quick turnaround, so your order will be shipped within 1-2 business days of purchase.
If you don’t see an email to confirm shipment within this time frame, please check your spam folder. If you still don’t see confirmation, feel free to send us an email or give us a call and we’ll happily check on your order status.
My order says that it was delivered but it's still not here!?
We love our delivery drivers but we all make mistakes! Have you checked with neighbors to see if the package was accidentally delivered there? Do you have a side or back door where the package could be hiding?
We don’t hear about lost packages often but usually we find the mistake to be in delivery location. If you don’t have any luck with neighbors or side door hiding spots give us a call or send an email and we will put a trace on the package and help figure out how you get your item(s) ASAP.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Call us! We typically pull orders the same day they are purchased. If you reach us in time we will do our best to make an adjustment for you. If your order has already shipped you will have to process a return or exchange with us. See our returns and exchange policy HERE.
What if I need to change my shipping address?

If the address entered is completely wrong and will not get to you, we can attempt to recall the package and resend to you. Additional shipping charges may apply.

What are the benefits of bamboo?
Our search for a comfortable performance fabric wasn’t something we took lightly. We explored for over two years, high and low, near and far, testing fabrics in every environment imaginable, until we came across bamboo fabric. What makes Free Fly Apparel different than other bamboo clothing companies?
Our bamboo material blends are unique in that we use a majority bamboo blended with performance materials like Poly and Spandex.
Other companies typically use less bamboo and blend with cotton. The downside to blending bamboo with cotton is that cotton works against the bamboo’s natural moisture wicking performance properties because it absorbs moisture.
Plus, more bamboo means more anti-bacterial properties. With Free Fly, you can be out on the water for days on end without having to change your shirt.
Is the process to create bamboo fabric environmentally friendly?
Yes! We love the outdoors as much as you so we work hard to make sure we’re doing everything we can to minimize the impact of our product on the environment. The bamboo fiber we use is a regenerated cellulose fiber – made from natural organic bamboo by a high tech process that is non-polluting to the environment during production.
The main chemical used during our process is sodium hydroxide, most commonly known as caustic soda or CS2. Other bamboo fabric is usually processed with carbon disulfide, a toxic chemical which is a known environmental hazard. The chemical we use, sodium hydroxide, is neutralized in the environment by carbon dioxide, therefore it is not a risk to our aquatic environments or the air we breathe so you can confidently enjoy nature in your Free Fly Apparel.
How should you wash your bamboo?
Wash all garments in cold water with like colors. To dry bamboo, the best method is to hang dry. If you're not into that sort of thing, use the lowest setting on your dryer (delicate or tumble dry) and remove from dryer immediately.
Does your bamboo material blend shrink?
Our lightweight material bamboo shrinks slightly more than 100% cotton. The rest of our bamboo blends will typically not shrink up if cared for properly.
How soft is bamboo?
Softer than Mike Tyson’s voice. But really, as one customer said after wearing his first bamboo lightweight tee, “All I can say is just try one, I dare you...”

Where do I enter a promo/discount code?
When you are in your Cart, you will see a "Gift card or discount code" box on the right hand side. Enter your code and hit APPLY to see your discount. You should see the discount amount applied to your subtotal.
Help! I lost or forgot to enter my new subscriber discount code. How can I get that again?
No worries! Just email or call us and we will provide you with a new code or, if you already made your purchase, we will be happy to refund you the discount amount.
Do you have a military discount?
Yes! We proudly offer a 30% discount for active duty, veterans and retirees of the U.S. military including the National Guard. This discount is available for purchases up to $300 and is not valid on sale items or gift cards. To receive the discount please send credentials proving your service to email@example.com and we will send you a unique discount code.
Do you offer pro deals?
We offer pro deals to full time guides including: fishing, white water rafting, paddle boarding etc. This discount is available for purchases up to $300 and is not valid on sale items or gift cards. If you believe you qualify for this discount please send documentation including outfitters and a point of contact to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will send you a unique discount code.
Can I use more than one promo code on an order?
Life is full of many difficult decisions. We’re sure it gets harder than this but you must select the best promo code for your Free Fly purchase because only one code per order can be used.
My promo code isn't working! What should I do?
If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. If you copied and pasted the code go back and make sure you selected the entire code. If you typed the code, make sure that there are no typos. If you’ve tried a couple times and patience is not one of your strong points, email or give us a call, we’ll be happy to help you out.

Where are your products manufactured?
Despite our best efforts to have our products manufactured to the US, the specific type of bamboo that is used to create our fabric is an indigenous crop found only in Asia. That said, we manufacture our products in a few sustainable factories in China and Vietnam. All of our factories are WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production) certified. Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) is an independent, objective, non-profit team of global social compliance experts dedicated to promoting safe, lawful, humane and ethical manufacturing around the world through certification and education.
