In the wake of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, we’re devastated for our coworkers, close friends and family, neighbors, and communities here in the South that are still reeling from the aftermath. Aid workers have been working tirelessly over the past few months to provide support, but we know there’s still much work to be done in the days, months, and years ahead to bring these communities back to full strength.
We’re eager to help pick up the pieces—so we’ve rounded up a few immediate ways we can all chip in below. If you’re able, please consider donating or getting involved with these causes. Your support goes a long way.
How You Can Help
Operation BBQ Relief delivers the healing power of BBQ to disaster-affected communities. Armed with a fleet of cooks, mobile pits, kitchens, and volunteers, they offer solace (and full stomachs) to residents, first responders, and relief workers.
In early October, thousands were left without power and many without access to food and water. Operation BBQ Relief had boots on the ground in Hendersonville, NC and were providing thousands of meals—but they started to run low on supplies. We partnered with local businesses in Charleston, Home Team BBQ and Vern’s, to help keep their operation up and running—and delivered cooking essentials and sanitary eating supplies to their basecamp.
