WE'RE BONAFIDE
What does it mean to be B Corp Certified?
As a family-founded company that lives for the outdoors, supporting our community and protecting our planet’s wild places are absolutely central to Free Fly’s purpose. In 2025 we earned our official B Corp certification, which means we’ve hit the highest standards of social and environmental performance and accountability—and we’ve committed to continuously improve our impact in the areas below.
B Corp Areas of Impact
Evaluates a company's overall mission, engagement around its social/environmental impact, ethics, and transparency.
Evaluates a company’s contributions to its employees’ financial security, health and safety, wellness, career development, and engagement and satisfaction.
Evaluates a company’s stewardship of its customers through the quality of its products and services, ethical marketing, data privacy and security, and feedback channels.
Evaluates a company’s engagement with and impact on the communities in which it operates, hires from, and sources from. This includes diversity, equity and inclusion, economic impact, civic engagement, charitable giving, and supply chain management.
Evaluates a company’s overall environmental management practices as well as its impact on the air, climate, water, land, and biodiversity.
Our score: 83.1
*Free Fly was measured against the impact topics from the B Impact Assessment (Version 6).
Our B Corp Journey
We also found partners to help offset some of our carbon emissions, like SeaTrees, an organization working to preserve our coastal eco-systems and mangrove forests. We believe that a rising tide lifts all ships. And as a member of the B Corp community, we get to connect and learn from other brands out there, collectively working together as a force for good. And while we’re only one of nine companies in South Carolina with a B Corp certification right now, we hope to see that number grow.
Lastly, we wouldn’t have earned B Corp status without our employees. And as a family-founded company we consider every one who works here at Free Fly as part of the extended family. Our highest score in this entire process came from our “Workers Impact” area, and we are extremely proud of that.
