Fit is a little loose for a normal large sized rashy. The hood is loose in comparison to Florence. Perforations for drainage at head and ears worry me they could easily tear. Seems like they should be reinforced to prevent that. Definitely a good idea just not fully thought through. Same as the tail/rear retention loop. The button comes undone easily in small waves and defeats the purpose completely.

It worked perfect for surfing, bought a medium and a large. my exact measurements are 5’11 and 160lb. The large fit but the sleeve were just a little short, but overall the large was the nice fit.I didn’t think I was going to really use the hood however it worked so well in the morning especially when the sun was rising and reflecting off the water is blocked the glare perfectly.The medium is way to small definitely recommend sizing up.

I first thought was a little too snug. The xl fit a 230 male quite well I’m not too sure I wouldn’t size up though

I liked the hood on this a lot better than the ubiquitous Florence hooded rash guard. It fit tight, but not absurdly so. I think the interface with the dawn patrol board shorts is a nice touch too. The snap closure on the back keeps the rashy from riding up your back, but it would occasionally come undone in a heavy wipeout.

My dermatologist has been giving me grief over my water use and lack of sun protection. Viola! Free Fly comes out with this hooded rash guard that checks all the boxes my dermatologist has in place for me. The hood is so comfortable, provides much needed sun protection for face, scalp, neck and ears. When in the water, this rash guard is seamless to move around. Great for surfing, snorkeling, pool time.
