Born and raised in Naples, Jeff Legutki grew up surfing shore breaks and chasing snook and redfish on topwater plugs. Teenage dreams of becoming a professional surfer slowly morphed into a full-blown obsession with sight fishing the shallow, labyrinthine waters of the Ten Thousand Islands in the Everglades. Guiding the waters he’d been fishing his whole life became his calling. There’s no GPS on his skiff, in a place where even the most experienced angler could find themselves lost or stranded on top of an oyster bar in a matter of minutes. Untold miles of intricate islands and shorelines, all precisely etched into his memory. Who needs GPS when you’ve got that?
