I like a soft waist and looser fit (not snug) on the quads. I wish there were pockets on both sides and extra in the waist band so that I could wear them in a marathon. These will be only for runs I don't need to carry anything more than a key and one gel. That said, I will be buying more pairs

I gave these shorts a second try and I'm so glad I did. I originally tried the Bamboo-Lined Active Breeze shorts two years ago, long before this new and improved version that was released with the Spring 2025 line. In the prior version of these shorts (zipper pocket in back vs. side), the X-Small was too tight 'down there' and the Small was too baggy. So, I stuck with the pull-on Breeze shorts without the liner, which I love, but I've been wanting a slightly shorter short that makes me look and feel like I'm still young and have time left to wear cute shorts! This new and improved version of the bamboo-lined breeze shorts (3") fits amazingly, makes my legs look really nice and fits so much better than the original versions. I'm 38y/o, 5'3", 110lbs, some butt and thighs and a mostly flat belly and the XS fits perfectly. I wear an XS in everything FreeFly (shorts, dresses, tanks, shirts) so these shorts are definitely true to size. Hoping this review will help others who may have written off these shorts for similar reasons or anyone looking for a super comfy pair of shorts that brings life back to your wardrobe!

I bought these originally in a medium and ended up exchanging for a large so that they sat loosely on my stomach and I have a larger butt which makes shorts sit funny. They’re super light weight. Because I bought a larger size they’re super loose around my legs giving it almost a skirt feeling which I don’t mind. The zipper pocket is very small and I have a hard time getting my hand into the pocket and definitely not big enough for a phone. I haven’t worn them out yet so not sure how much they will ride up. I wish they had a belt loop or something so I could wear my pliers/snips while fishing.
