These are great shorts. Very comfortable and solid construction. I originally purchased them as running shorts but wear them for everything now. I actually ordered a second pair for the summer. As running shorts they are very solid. The liner keeps from chaffing. My only complaint is the pocket on the liner. It cld be longer or placed differently as my phone will fall out when I sit down

The 5.5 inch length is perfect for me. I have wore these shorts for casual wear, as swim shorts on the beach and have ran multiple miles in them. So far, they are a very solid hybrid type short. Not a true running short, but serviceable same as swim shorts. I love the fact that there’s a pocket on the right side liner short. The waist band is soft and comfortable. Just good solid shorts
