I’m 5’6”, 145lbs and the small fits perfect. I carry my extra weight around the middle, and the waist of these hits just right. Not too high with a little compression that is comfortable all day long. They are pretty breezy in the back, but I love short shorts, so no problem there. I love the flat front and clean lines. They have a classier look than regular running shorts. And my cell phone fits in the zip pocket.
I have them in the orange and light blue and I really want to buy more colors.
Sorry for the awful pics but I love seeing pics on all body sizes so trying to be helpful. I wore them for a half marathon and was worried my legs were going to chafe but they never did.

I bought these for paddleboarding, and they're ALMOST perfect. My two complaints are that the liner-brief is made of a material that's definitely not quick-drying. Once they're wet, they stay wet all day. I wish it was more of a lightweight mesh, or like a thin swimsuit material. The other issue is that the side zip pocket entry is so tiny that I can barely fit my hand in it.
Otherwise, I really like them, I found them to be flattering but functional, and super comfortable. If you're not doing water-sports in them, the liner problem won't bother you. Sizing was accurate for me. I'll just need to be sure to bring a change of shorts for when they get wet!

Comfortable, waist is higher (but not too high) & great length (not too short, but not too long- I'm 5'4" for reference). I wish they came in more colors & patterns (how about navy, black/dark gray camo, white w/blue horizontal stripes?!)! Do note that the color of the blue dusk is more gray-blue than what's pictured (that looks more navy blue/darker gray which I would've preferred). Will buy more for sure!
