Based out of Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone, surfer and artist, D.J. Javier, has a uniquely bold, street-art-style aesthetic inspired by his Filipino heritage and California surf. He specializes in party waves, professional doodling, and blurring the line between graphic design and fine art. We teamed up with the artist and self-described surf rat on a small batch of Free Fly graphics—featuring laidback characters that really know how to have a good time.

But first, we hit him up and asked him to fill out a Q&A for us—doodles and drawings encouraged.
